A one night deposit is required for all reservations of less than one week in length. A two night deposit is required for all reservations of a week or more. Deposit must be received at the time of reservation. Reservations made through outside booking agencies, such as Expedia or Booking.com, must be paid in full at the time that the reservation is made.
A credit card authorization for the balance of the stay plus $100 for security and incidental charges is required upon check in. The authorization may be made with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Diner’s Club. At check-out, the authorization may be finalized or the balance may be paid with cash. No personal checks are accepted at check-in or check-out.
A credit card authorization is required for incidental charges and/or possible damage or excessive clean up. Because all units are individually owned, inspections are strictly enforced at check-out. There will be charges for any loss, damage or excessive clean-up or smoking in a non smoking unit.
Due to these unprecedented times, the standard 14 day cancellation policy has been relaxed. If at any time you don’t feel confident in traveling to Maine, we want you to have the flexibility to change your plans. Guests may now cancel up until the day of arrival at 4:00 PM. In the event of a cancellation, any deposit that was placed with the reservation will be converted into a gift card for future use. All cancellation fees are waived and the gift card will not expire. Any decrease to the number of nights of a reserved stay must be completed 14 days prior to the arrival date. There are no refunds for early departures. Reservations made through outside booking agencies, such as Expedia or Booking.com, are nonrefundable.
Specific room location requests are honored whenever possible but are not guaranteed.
Attention Debit Card Customers:
An Authorization for the full balance of your stay plus $100 for security and incidental charges is performed at the time of arrival. This authorization will place a hold on the funds in your bank account for the balance of your stay which may not allow other outstanding payments to clear the account. Should you choose to pay the balance due at check out by other means than the debit account, the Elmwood Resort will release the authorization immediately, however, merchant services at the bank may take up to 10 days to release the hold. Due to these factors we highly recommend utilizing a credit card rather than a debit card for your stay.
All rental units are non-smoking. If upon departure any evidence of smoking in a unit that is designated to be non-smoking a minimum of a $250 fine will be charged on the credit card you presented upon arrival. No smoking is permitted on the decks, patios, or grounds except within the designated smoking area.
